On July 13th we went for a picnic to Nighcliff foreshore near the footbridge on the grass. Chicken cheese and champagne, not that unusual for us so I kinda thought it was only a bit different because he organised the picnic bag and usually I do. But he was... on holidays and I wasn't.
The dinner came to an end and the sun was starting to set so I thought yet again.. ahh well.. wait for next time (we had a ring and I was kinda waiting for the day he would ask basically). Eventually he sat up (we had been lounging on the blanket), and went for the picnic bag and pulled out a beautiful box, looked at me and said "Well babe.. will you marry me?"
He opened the box for me to see the ring. I was ecstatic and even though I knew it was going to come, it was still a surprise and a beautiful moment in my life. So as the sun went down on July 13th by the sea I accepted Richie as my future husband. - Linda Murie
