Hens and Bucks Dress-up

Trailing through nightclubs wearing a ball and chain or pink veil and clutching a cocktail the size of a goldfish bowl isn’t everyone’s idea of a great night out to farewell your years of singledom.

There are plenty of different ways to celebrate the traditional hens and bucks nights without finding yourself naked and tied to a pole the next morning.

A sky diving bride and groom, medieval themed weddings or dressing up as pirates are just a few way Territory couples have celebrated weddings with a difference.

Darwin couple, Nicky Panatos and John Trikilis, were married in June 2009 but before their wedding ceremony the couple took a different leap of faith – out of an airplane.
The couple decided to jump out of a plane at 12 000 feet in a tandem skydive the morning of their wedding day. “We thought if we could survive that then we can survive anything,” Nicky said.
